Nashville Zoo Feature Story

We partnered with the Nashville Zoo to produce two projects, one of which was our feature story. I had the opportunity to sit down with Heather Schwartz Robertson, the zoo’s Director of Veterinary Services. This interview was a three camera shoot and my team I spent time before and after the interview gathering all our own B-roll.

Gibbons Feature Story

During this feature story my team and I got to talk with Whitney Roman about the Nashville zoo’s conservation efforts specifically with the white-cheeked gibbon. This project was actually a improvisational interview when we ran into Whitney while gathering B-roll for other projects. We luckily had our cameras in hand and Whitney was very enthusiastic about sharing about her fury friends.

Someone Like You Feature Story

I had the opportunity to shadow a movie director on the set of a movie called Someone like you. While on set we had the opportunity to sit down with Austin Russell who happens to star in the movie. This interview was filmed a little differently than we usually film them. We didn’t have any tripods or monopods on hand so we had to film with the cameras balancing on our hands.

AccesSurf Feature Story

My team and I had the privilege to travel to Hawaii in fall of 2023 in order to partner with a non-profit organization called, AccesSurf. This organization allows individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities spend time in the beautiful waters of Hawaii. I was able to be hands on in the water and interview families who hold this organization dear to them.

Tennessee Winter Special Olympics

My team and I had the chance to travel to Gatlinburg, TN in the of winter 2023. We got to meet with many of the Athletes, their families, and coaches. We had three days of interviews and B-roll to go through when we returned home but the editing went by fast because we were all so passionate about the project.

White Bark Pine Restoration Feature Story

My team and I traveled to Glacier National park in Montana in October 2022. While we were there we produced three feature stories and one music video. This feature story focuses on the restoration of the endangered White bark pine trees. We collected all of our own B-roll and conducted all of our own interviews.

Preventing Catastrophic Mussel Infestation Feature Story

I was personally in charge of this project; therefore, I was responsible for storyboarding, writing the script, and directing. My partner helped me interview a park ranger and edit the project. We also had to make sure we had all the appropriate B-roll before heading home to Nashville.

Half the Park Happens After Dark Feature Story

This award winning feature story was filmed in Glacier national park. This project took the longest to film out of the three feature stories we produced because the majority of this project needed to be filmed at night. But during the interview we ran into some challenges, the cameras kept overheating due to the direct sunlight they were sitting in. Due to this we had to keep interrupting the interview and take the cameras outside in the cool mountain air to cool them off. Even though we had to overcome some challenges this video was the most successful of our trip.

Masterpiece Dance Feature Story

I was able to be on camera for this project and sit down with some young dancers at my school. This was a three camera interview with some moving B-roll that I shot with a DJI Ronin camera stabilizer.
